About Me

I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Psychology, and then I graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, PhD program in Psychology.

During and after my graduate studies, I continued my academic work. I served as a faculty member in the psychology departments of Çankaya University and Maltepe University. I later continued my academic career at Yeditepe University, teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the Department of Psychology. At the same time, I served as the Coordinator of the Clinical Psychology Master’s Program at Yeditepe University.

I completed the trainings “From Psychoanalysis to Psychodynamic Psychotherapies” and “Technique and Practice in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy,” as well as a consultation group led by Psychoanalyst Yavuz Erten. I received intensive online psychoanalytic psychotherapy training with an interpersonal/relational psychoanalysis focus from the William Alanson White Institute. I also completed the Introduction to Relational Psychoanalysis Seminars offered by the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP). In addition, I was accepted into the Contemporary Perspectives of Psychoanalysis Fellowship program at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy + Psychoanalysis, where I received additional training in contemporary psychoanalytic thinking.

I have been conducting psychotherapy sessions since my master’s training, including during my years as an academic. Since relocating abroad in 2022, I have been continuing my clinical work online.
